Meet the Matchmaker

Andrea Gardiner, Ph.D.

There aren’t many young women Andrea’s age (26) that can say they have experienced medical school, earned a doctorate in the study of holistic philosophy, learned hypnosis, and started a practice, all while having and raising a small child and catering to the needs of a wonderful romantic relationship with her fiancé. Although matchmaking seems to have “fallen” into Andrea’s lap, her education and professional experience really worked to groom her for this wonderful profession.

After graduating from Trinity College, Hartford, CT, with a degree in Biology, Andrea was immediately accepted into the University of Bridgeport’s College of Naturopathic Medicine. After giving birth to her son and successfully completing two years of her medical training, she decided to leave the world of health to professionally study holistic philosophy and earned a Ph.D. in Holistic Life Coaching. Andrea began using her ignored intuitive skills to offer personal life coaching and began noticing how incredibly underserved her single clients were in their love life. Andrea decided to combine the professional grooming of Trinity College and medical school with the know-how and intuition of personal life coaching to fill the noticeable void that she observed with her clients. This marked the birth of Exceptional Matchmaking.

Andrea now resides in Hartford, CT with her family and continues to offer personal life coaching in addition to her upscale matchmaking services. If this were not enough to keep her busy, she also finds time to write; her work can be spotted in the April 2008 issue of Essence Magazine entitled “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” and webzines such as www.Bellaonline.com (the philosophy site).
